IRANIAN GOVERNMENT WARNS OPPOSITION ACTIVISTS ABROAD
PDN – Tuesday, July 22: Iran’s Attorney General Mohsen Ejei announced that Iranians who live abroad and have been opposed the Iranian government may return to Iran, but should be aware that they may face charges for their actions.
The video of Mr Ejei’s speech has been widely spread on Persian-language websites and social forums and has created a wave of anger and criticism in the exile community in Europe and North America. (Video) Iran’s state TV has aired Mr Ejei’s speech repeatedly.
Mr. Ejei served as Iran’s minister of intelligence from 2005 to July 2009.
